Varun Rana is a New York City-based comedian, writer, director, musician, and social media creator. Originally from Detroit, Varun quit his tech job at Amazon in 2021 to start posting sketches on TikTok. He then spent a few years working at various startups (and collecting material), before one of them forced him to chase his content creation dreams full-time in 2024. 

Rana's work explores the psychological absurdity of modern work through the lens of a first-generation Indian-American, covering the power dynamics, the performativity, and the personal toll of trying to fit in. His writing is dry and self-aware, and his direction follows suit: heightened performances, deliberate pacing, and stripped-down visuals that give the discomfort nowhere to hide.
